Stay Optimistic
keep looking to find what you really enjoy!
never give up!

the Spring Garden is one of Optimism!

The beginning of Spring is the time to sow your Summer Vegetables, such as
[
Beans ] [ Carrots ] [ Celery ] [ Cucumber ] [ Lettuce ] [ Melons ]
[
Squash ] and [ Tomatoes ]. Although, if you live in a cool, temperate climate which is prone to frost, remember to keep your seedlings under protection until the earth becomes warmer. If you are starting a vegetable garden for the first time, consider planting parsley around the edge of your veggie patch. Later in the Spring you can sow some basil, dill and fennel seeds in groupings of their own, (this is important as your fresh veggies can sometimes have the taste essence of your herbs if planted too close together). You can plant [ Sweet Potatoes ] by mid Spring. Try planting lavender, rosemary and sage between flowering plants and shrubs for extra colour that will also add aromatic scents to your garden. If you have a tap with a damp patch of earth below it that drowns whatever you plant, mint is the perfect solution and adds a delicious taste to Summer tea’s or fruit punch, salads or veggie dishes.

A Charm to Make Your Herb Garden Grow
By Antonia Beattie

As you are sowing your seeds,
use the little verse below as a mantra to be repeated over and over
while you visualise your seedlings growing into healthy plants:

Herbs that charm
Herbs that heal
Know no harm
And charge our meal!

Like our Spring garden, our minds and self-esteem can be vulnerable during this time of conflicted energy and power struggles. With new ideas springing forth and a sparkle of fresh energy, we can go off on a tangent and fast lose the momentum that got us started. Spring is a time when creative thought and new ideas need to be explored and tried. However, you might find that the Karate or Dance class you signed up for, just clashes with your routine and family schedule, or the workshop you did just leaves you more confused than before you started... Like newly sowed seeds and freshly planted seedlings need to be protected from the late frost and hailstorms, your self-esteem, creative ideas and fresh perspective needs to be protected by the intent of ‘Exploring and Experimenting’ with positive thoughts of Optimism!

If you have never been to Karate or tried a Dance class before, you might just discover ‘Why’, when during or after a class you find it was completely different to what you expected, and that you would much rather be doing something else like running in the morning or taking the Yoga class you did last year. With the idea and intent of ‘Exploring and Experimenting’ rather sign up for a demo class, or a 2 to 4 week course, before you sign that one year contract. Most teachers or instructors will allow you to attend a few classes, some of the good ones even prefer it, before asking you to make a long term commitment.

So enjoy the Spring energy of ‘Exploring and Experimenting’ and try as many classes and ideas as you want before making any hard and fast decisions about what classes you want to attend, or which exercise plan you want to follow.....
With Optimistic thoughts that you will find something that suits your schedule and routine, and something that you will positively enjoy and absolutely love!

If you attend that Belly Dance class at the urging of your friend, because she loves it so much and just knows you will too. Remember if things turn out differently, that although the Belly Dance class is right for her, it’s probably because it suits her, the person she is and her lifestyle.... and that you are perfectly fine, and that particular class was just unsuitable for you, simply because you are unique and different with your own individual lifestyle.

Protect your self-esteem whenever you are ‘Exploring and Experimenting’ with new ideas, because you will probably try at least 10 different things before you find the ONE thing that suits You, and that You love to do. Be Optimistic in your approach, with the idea of ‘Exploring and Experimenting’, rather than any hard and fast expectations of what you will think and what it will be like.

The more new things you try...
the more you will discover what you dislike....
But at least you will have tried something new,
and then you will know what things you enjoy.

On another note...
You might just find that the Karate or Dance class
that you thought you would hate,
Once you have tried it, becomes something you absolutely love!

Please share your ideas - [ E-mail ] - Thanks!
