Indulge.....
or treat yourself to a little Pampering!

Pamper, Indulge and Revitalise!

If you’re feeling tired, restless, distracted and unable to focus, maybe even struggling with a ‘Spring Cold’... If you find that you have picked up weight over the Winter months, and your Summer wardrobe is a little snug around the waist, tummy, hips and thighs, rather than castigating yourself and getting caught in negative criticism and self doubt - remember you might just be struggling physically and mentally with the seasonal changes as much as Mother Nature does.....

So, instead of indulging in negativity after the cold Winter months, indulge positively by pampering and relaxing to revitalise your body and to lift your Spirit this Spring!

There are so many ways you can pamper and indulge yourself!
Remember to try things that cleanse and revitalise your body, relax and de-stress your mind and that touch your heart and inspire your Spiritual Essence.....
the best way I have found... is to let someone else do the pampering!

So try something new!

Try Hot Stone Therapy, I hear it’s awesome!
Have a full body massage with aroma therapy oils....
Go all the way and indulge in a deep cleansing facial, hand massage, manicure, foot massage and pedicure!
My personal favourite.... is a Kahuna Massage, try it... you’ll love it!

Allow yourself to explore, have fun and just be!

Wriggle your toes and feet in the fresh new grass of Spring!
Have the first swim of the season in the cold refreshing sea!
Run barefoot on the beach..... fly a kite in the park...
Dance naked under the full moon or sleep in a bed of flower petals!

Buy a set of oil paints and let a white canvas come to life with colour!
Wear flowers in your hair.... get a temporary tattoo (or if your really want - get a permanent one ;o).

Wake up in the morning and greet the sun!

Or follow Bevskins example and indulge in a day of pamper and pleasure for
Decadent Revitalisation!

Spring Updates

Mangwanani SpaDecadent Revitalisation

The promise of relaxing and de-stressing made by the "Angels of Mangwanani Day Spa" in the "Valley of the Hennops River" certainly came true!

This was to be my 6th visit to Mangwanani
[
www.mangwanani.co.za ] the private African day spa and together with my hubby boarded our luxury bus, along with other excited couples and friends.   After being plied with champagne and orange juice prior to departure from MonteCasino, our hostess, Serena, explained our day's procedures.

To the welcome of a choir of African voices and a sumptuous breakfast on the deck, overlooking the Hennops River, more champagne was served.  This day was to be filled with bubbly for me, being my birthday gift and all …

Our first treatment was TLHAPISO (Full body cleansing - Gift of Nature) - a full body wash using the most wonderfully fragrant oils and salt - leaving you fresh and revitalised to start the day.

After more champagne, it was off to another private area for MOLALA (an ancient Indian or North African Head Massage) - my choice was for the oils and my hair and head was massaged and kneaded until I had no idea if I was awake or asleep - my scalp tingled (and my hair for the rest of the week was beautifully conditioned!)

Another glass of champers and off to UBUSO (Revitalizing Fruits Facial spa) - using only natural products, this is no beauty facial, but a pressure point massage, cleanse and treatment of the most relaxing kind! (Yep, I slept yet again!)

They had to drag me off the bed and cart me off in our little golf-cart off to a secluded thatched hut on the banks of the river where we had the most wonderful IZIMANGA (Full body massage with hot stones) - the warmth of the stones, the coolness of the breeze, the gentle yet insistent pressure of the masseuse - deeevine doll!

After a sumptuous lunch of Chicken, salad, chocolate cake and more champagne - it was off to relax in the crystal and mineral spa's and Jacuzzi for an hour.

We were feeling totally relaxed and spoilt by the time our ladies collected us for the NEO MATSOGO (traditional African Royal Hand Gift) and NEO MAOTO (traditional African Royal Foot Gift - from fingers to toes - Rose petal wash, sugar and lavender scrub, and almond oil, crème hydration massage ).

Try lifting another glass of champagne after this…. I felt (and smelt ….) wonderful - and as the sun was setting over the mountains, we were sent to get dressed after a day in our costumes and dressing gowns,  to meet on the deck once again for Amarula and chocolates before our bus was ready to leave.  (I did try and bribe the staff to leave me in the bed by the river and wake me up the following morning with another massage, but to no avail - it was time for us to get back to reality - kids and all!)

To Maeve and Erin (the founders), their therapists and their staff (and especially to Petunia, who prides herself in the care taken to dry your hands after washing), -  all true "Angels", for not only do they treat your body with skilled hands whilst giving treatments, but they also treat your soul - within the setting of soft music, birdsong to provide you with the quietness of mind to relax and enjoy the outdoor beauty and sounds of the Hennops River Valley.

The sounds of the ladies voices fading in song as the bus leaves this Eden, but don't despair ……. We will be back, time and time again - for our body and soul therapy!
