A friend and I decided we just had to try this one out – so book we did and baby-sitters we did arrange and prepared ourselves for what we did not know! I have been to and organised a couple of “Red Hot Fun” parties where the plastic toys and goods sold are definitely not of the “Tupperware” variety, so was keen to find out what an “all girls evening” had in store for us. We arrived at the venue, Su.da.da in Sandton, to find that a whole lot of women had arrived a lot earlier than us and were definitely on their third or fourth round of drinks! The noise level was high, the chattering of females in direct competition with the blaring music from the resident DJ. We found some seats near the front, settled down with our “Goddess Cocktail” (a concoction of sorts that I wouldn’t dream of trying to identify!) A glance around the restaurant revealed ladies of between 17 and 70 – a bunch of mothers, grannies, aunts, sisters and friends! Dress sense was from the formal to the near naked; tight jeans to woollen jumpers – but the best dressed were the waiters – young, (mostly) well built men strutting around between the tables – dressed only in black pants and bow tie (and it was cold being winter and all :o). Our evening started with all the ladies having to ask their nearest neighbour to answer multiple-choice questions and discover their sex-knowledge! This was a great icebreaker as the questions were humorous and fun i.e. The G-Spot! A) Have you found yours? (b) Has your partner ever found it? (c) Is it just a rumour started by women, who have decided that the 30 second male orgasm is not as much fun and this way we can have more foreplay just so that our partners take more time looking for the G-spot when in actually fact it is a myth (??) Anyway, I have since discovered that my “sex-knowledge” left a lot to be desired (pun intended who knows?) and I was keen to see what was go come (@>*&) next?! Maria Vasco, the organiser and MC for the evening is a petite lady, totally at ease with herself and her sexuality, and she introduced our speaker, the Tantric Sex Doctor, Jonti Searll. The talk itself was riveting as he discussed how to ensure the 30 min to 2 hour orgasm (and how we can all learn to get it!) with or without penetration (Mands – want to do some censoring here??!? - No, I only correct typo’s and spelling mistakes!!! ;o), He also talked about relationships and how they become stale and mediocre. The existence of “daily life” (kids, chores, stress, work etc.) takes the passion out of most relationships and how re-discovering your partner can bring happiness, peace and satisfaction back into your life. The rest of the evening was filled with laughter, chatter, dancing and the re-discovery of flirting with our gorgeous waiters – all learning to be the Goddesses that we each have inside of us ……….. somewhere, just waiting for us to let her out!
