Appreciation of Yourself!

You know how to work hard, and even maybe how to play hard and have fun!....
Yet, you might feel just a little unappreciated, and is it any wonder?... with how much you get done in a day and how much you pack into a week....
(and weekend ;o).

If you are waiting for a Genie to pop out of a bottle and grant you three wishes, or a Knight to come and rescue you from your life.... or even a Prince to sweep you off your feet and swaddle you in silk and pamper to your every desire...
Wake-up and Get Real!

The Good News is that rather than waiting for someone to show you how much you are appreciated... you can start by learning to Appreciate Yourself!

Take time in Spring to appreciate yourself and your body for all the wonderful things you do and how much you have accomplished this past year by indulging in a little Appreciation!

Start by Appreciating Yourself for all the little things you do, no matter how routine or mundane, the things that make everyone’s life easier (washing, cleaning, shopping, cooking ;o). Imagine for a minute what would happen if for just one week there were no clothes washed, dried or ironed?.... and even if you do have domestic help to do these chores, you probably still manage that they get done! What would happen if you stopped shopping for the basics?.... things like loo paper, tissues, coffee, tea, milk and bread..... can you imagine!

So think about all the things that you do as part of your routine (things you hardly think about anymore and just do ;o)... and start to Appreciate Yourself, Who You Are, What You Do and What You Get Done!

Acknowledge your positive attributes and strengths. Consider all you do for others. Reflect on all your good qualities and start to appreciate the things you do and the person you are.

Take time to appreciate your body and your positive attributes and features...

Then go a little further and acknowledge this appreciation by celebrating and indulging in a lot of self care!

You might even discover that as you learn to Appreciate Yourself, you will find things about your body and your life that you never realised before, and others will learn and start to appreciate you too

Here is my wish for you and every other child,
woman and man on the face of the earth:
Spend one week saying only kind, caring things to yourself. 
Say thank-you at least ten times an hour
-- direct five toward yourself and five to the world at large.
Compliment yourself (and others) each time an effort is made. 
Notice all the wonderful qualities and characteristics
about yourself and those around you.
One week. 
You will never go back. 
And your whole life will be a glorious meditation.

Spring Updates

Spring is Sprung!  The grass is ris'
I've bought a new car, that makes my bum look smaller!
My tan is non-existent, my hair a lot shorter!
the days are growing longer, more time is found!
My sleep is still deprived, but my kids are thriving & happy!
My bank account is hovering above zero,
my work day is balancing out!
My weight is down, my spirits up!
My clothes are fitting, winter layers packed away!
My jerseys are now tops, my shoes are now sandals

My hubby's at work, the dinner's in the oven
my chores are nearly done
the evening's just started!
telly looks good tonight,
so I'll bath later with my candles lit & the music blaring!

What the heck, my week can only get better -
it's only the first Monday of Spring after all!!!!
